Currently Imperial Academies are located in Johannesburg, Germiston and in Cape Town in Black Heath.

Johannesburg Academy

The Johannesburg Academy is located in Germiston and Wadeville,
The Petrol Academy is situated AT 16 Dakota Crescent, Airport Business Park extension 3, Germiston. It is a Modern, state of the art technical training facility and represents an Investment of 35 million in training equipment. It has a staff complement of 26 of which 12 are seasoned trainers from many different brands.

The New Diesel training Academy is located at the IMPERIAL Commercial International Truck Centre on Dekema Road, Wadeville.



The new Academy is situated behind the current workshop in a custom-built 2000m2 training facility that will be able to host 200 students at a week.

IMPERIAL will make History in South Africa when it opens the Motorcycle Apprentice Training Academy at the Diesel Academy in 2012. It will occupy an initial space of 130m2 until the numbers grow and a new premise is built for the training. The training will be based on the CBMT Model of training and will function as an approved merSETA training facility.

Cape Town

The Cape Town Facility is situated in Black Heath in the Zinfandel Business Park.

This facility has grown from strength to strength over the years under the competent and experienced guidance of John Frost, who recently passed away after losing a battle with Cancer.

John selected Jan Smit, previously manager of the AA Apprentice Academy in Cape Town, as his successor before his passing, and he will run the academy from November 2011 and take it not its new future in the region.

Together with long time trainer, Denver Gabriel’s, Jan will be helping to move the Academy to a custom made new world class facility in the Mega Park Business Park in Bellville Industrial Area in March 2012.

This represents collaboration between SUJEAN Investments and IMPERIAL in the creation of a world class 2700 m2 training facility to meet the needs of expanding growing Petrol and Diesel apprentice training and development needs in the region.



The intention is also to open a Motorcycle training academy in the same center in the second half of the year.
