Lancaster University – Scholarships & Bursaries for 2018 Entry

As a university nationally and internationally recognised for excellence in teaching, scholarship and research, we attract high calibre, academically gifted students. In recognition of the academic talent of our applicants we will be awarding the following scholarships to UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man students who place Lancaster as their firm UCAS choice:

£2,000 Lancaster Scholarship for applicants who achieve A*A*A at A level and have at least 5 GCSE’s grade A or above. This is awarded in the first year of study only.
£1,000 Lancaster Scholarship for applicants who achieve AAA at A level and have at least 5 GCSE’s grade A or above. This is awarded in each year of study, subject to progression.
Applicants may be awarded both Scholarships meaning those eligible for the £2,000 Scholarship are automatically eligible for the £1,000 Scholarship.

Applicants who are eligible for our Unconditional Offer Scheme and place Lancaster as their firm choice may also be eligible for the Excellence Scholarship.

The £3,000 Excellence Scholarship will be awarded to applicants eligible for the Unconditional Offer Scheme who achieve A*A*A at A level and have at least 5 GCSE’s grade A or above. This is awarded in the first year of study only.

Alternatively, £1,000 will be awarded to applicants eligible for the Unconditional Offer Scheme who achieve the published entry grades for the course that they are offered and admitted to who do not meet the Excellence Scholarship criteria.

Please note the £3,000 Excellence Scholarship is awarded in place of the £2,000 Lancaster Scholarship, meaning applicants are not eligible for both awards.

Applicants who apply through Clearing and Adjustment in 2018 are also eligible for these scholarships.
