Message from Campus Manager:

Newcastle Training Centre (NTC) has, since its inception, always been on the forefront of the South African Training and Development landscape.
With more than 40 years of pioneering experience in Artisan training and over 20 years Trade Testing experience, NTC continues to produce Artisans that are sought after, throughout Southern Africa, for the quality of their workmanship, knowledge and attitude.

NTC has also pioneered the development of learning materials and the facilitation of Levels 2 – 4 Engineering Learnerships in all the popular Artisan trades.
A dedicated unit has been established for the development and facilitation of Fundamental Unit Standards for all the Engineering Learnerships. NTC is experienced in training high school teachers in the practical component of the CAPS Curriculum.

Newcastle Training Centre is proud to announce that it has been recognised by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) as the Centre of Specialization for Boilermaking in the KwaZulu-Natal Province.

The Centre of Specialization model sets out to further motivate industry stakeholders and employers across both the public and private sectors to partner with the Newcastle Training Centre to build a quality apprenticeship system.  Through these partnerships and the quality of vocational education and training provided, the DHET hopes that society’s confidence in the TVET sector will grow and they will become both institutions of choice for students and partners of choice in training for industry employers.
