Midrand Graduate Institute (MGI) was established in 1989 – and is thus in operation for more than 24 years. MGI is a private university-level, degree-conferring institution that offers 20 undergraduate, 2 honours and 1 masters degree within six faculties.

MGI have established agreements and partnerships with both local and international higher education institutions to provide relevant and high quality education.  These agreements include local institutions like:

-North-West University (SA)
-Cape Peninsula University of Technology (SA)
-Monash SA
-UNISA (SA)
-Radford University College (Ghana)
-Regents College (UK)
-London School of Business & Management (UK)

MGI is also a registered private provider of higher education with the Department of Higher Education (No. 2001/HE07/008) in accordance with the Higher Education Act, 1997, section 54 (1)(c) and section 54(2)(a).

A number of MGI’s qualifications are also accredited by professional and industry bodies like the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the Midrand Tourism Association (MTA), the Computer Society of South Africa (CSSA) and the Information Technology Association (ITA).
