UKZN Postgraduate Dental therapy Courses
Graduates in dental therapy and oral hygiene can register for the M.MED (Health Science) or PhD (Health Science) upon meeting the set University entrance criteria for these programmes. These are full research based programmes.
The Discipline currently focuses on the following research areas:
- Dental public health
- Oral health systems development
- Oral health planning
- Oral health surveillance
- Community-based strategies and interventions
In addition, the Discipline engages in collaborative laboratory-based research in the area of Infection control.
