University of Johannesburg UJ Application Status 2021 – 2022

If UJ begins to process your application, you will receive an acknowledgment of receipt letter or email with an application number.

UJ doesnt send an acknowledgment of receipt until UJ has opened your application and checked that it’s complete.

Your application will be returned to you if:

• it’s incomplete
• fees are missing or
• it’s received after a program is paused, closed or a cap is reached

Tips to track your UJ Application Status

If you mail your application

Use a courier service that requires a signature when delivered. This gives you a delivery confirmation and allows you to track your package.

For some paper applications, you can get detailed application status and your messages online. You can do this by linking an application to an online account.

If you apply at a Visa Application Centre

VACs offer tracking services that tell you when your application has been received at our offices.

If you apply online

You’ll see a confirmation page after you submit your application. You’ll also receive an email asking you to check your account. A confirmation message with a confirmation number will be in your account. Keep your confirmation number for your records. from Uni24.co.za, Please note that it may take a few hours for you to receive an email from UJ after you’ve submitted your application.

It depends on the type of application.

For online applications (except eTA)

If you applied online, you can check your status in your account:

1. Sign in to your UJ account.
2. Under “View my submitted applications or profiles” click on “check status and messages”.

For eTA applications

If you applied for an eTA, you can check your status online.

If you can’t use the check status tool

In some cases, like if you lost your approval email, you won’t be able to use that tool. Instead, use this Web form:

• Under “Type of application” select “Electronic Travel Authorization”.
• Then select “Case Specific Enquiries”.
• Provide as many details as possible.

It can take us several days to get back to you.

For paper applications

There are 2 ways you can check the status of your paper application online.

Your status will only show once we start processing your application. There may be a delay between the date UJ receive your application and the date UJ open it. See How can I check if my application has been received?
