Annual Indabas

ALA’s annual Indabas are three day gatherings for our alumni which take place annually in each of the four key regions of Africa (North, East, Southern and West) as well as in the USA. These events enable our graduates to re-connect with one another, share experiences, and renew their focus on continent. At the Indabas our young leaders participate in a series of leadership development activities, share ideas, and actively collaborate on ventures and projects that impact the continent. A portion of each Indaba is open to external guests, enabling our graduates to build their professional networks and foster connections that could propel their initiatives to new heights.

Chapter Events

ALA Chapters are groups of individuals in cities around the world with a shared passion for Africa and ALA’s mission to develop the transformative leaders the continent needs. Our Chapters host leadership development events and reunions for graduates, Africa-oriented discussions, and donor events. ALA’s Chapter system aims to reconnect graduates and introduce them to the wider ALA network. Current Chapters include Boston, Massachusetts; New York, New York; Rochester, New York; Washington, D.C., San Francisco, California and London.
