The objective of AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT 2014 Essentials is to enable students to create a basic 2D drawing in the AutoCAD® software.




Even at this fundamental level, the AutoCAD software is one of the most sophisticated computer applications that you are likely to encounter.

  • After Completing this course, you will be able to: Understand the AutoCAD workspace and user interface
     Use basic drawing, editing and viewing tools
     Organize drawing objects on layers
     Insert reusable symbols (blocks)
     Prepare a layout to be plotted
     Add text, hatching and dimensions

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:



A senior certificate or an appropriate National Certificate (N3), or a National Senior Certificate, or an equivalent qualification.

DURATION

2 Months

 

ASSESSMENT

There will be a final computer-based exam at the end of the course. The exam will be delivered by AutoDESK and the qualification will be issued from AutoCAD. The learner will be prepared for the final exam by perfoming exam simulations in the computer lab, which will count as an assessment tool for the learner and lecturer.

The fees include all text-books, assignments, assessments, examination fees. The fee also includes practical sessions for full time students.
