Cisco certifications are highly valued by employers and networking professionals worldwide. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification demonstrates your knowledge to deploy, maintain, secure and operate a medium-sized network using Cisco technologies.

The Cisco CCNA can be obtained by taking a single exam which combines ICND1 and ICND2 or by taking two separate exams.

 



 

PROGRAM COMPOSITION (SUBJECTS)

Cisco CCNA certification is an associate level Cisco certification which demonstrates core Cisco switching and routing knowledge.

With CCNA certification training at Crane College, the student will learn:

  • *Building simple to medium-sized switched networks
  • *Ethernet LANs
  • *Wireless LANs
  • *WANs and WAN connections
  • *OSPF Implementation
  • *EIGRP Implementation
  • *Access Control Lists

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

A senior certificate or an appropriate National Certificate (N3), or a National Senior Certificate, or an equivalent qualification.

Relevant work experience will also be considered.

 

DURATION

The duration of the course is 6 months full time and 9 months part-time.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

After successfully completing the course and passing the mandatory computer-based exam, the learner will be awarded a CISCO Certified Network Administrator certificate.

 

ASSESSMENT

There will be a final computer-based exam at the end of the course. The exam will be delivered by CISCO and the qualification will be issued from CISCO.

The learner will be prepared for the final exam by perfoming exam simulations in the computer lab, which will count as an assessment tool for the learner and lecturer.
