CompTIA Security+ is a vendor-neutral certification which validates an individual’s knowledge of system security and security practices in the IT industry.

PROGRAM COMPOSITION (SUBJECTS)

Security+ Certification training is ideal for anyone interested in learning more about IT security risks and how to protect your IT infrastructure and information.

Security+ students will learn the following:

*Basics of authentication and authorization
*Types of attacks and malicious code
*Remote access security
*Email and web security
*Wireless security
*Security design and security baselines
*Security monitoring and intrusion detection
*Physical security
*Security forensics

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

A senior certificate or an appropriate National Certificate (N3), or a National Senior Certificate, or an equivalent qualification.

Although not required, it is strongly recommended that candidates have their A+ Certification and Network+ Certification or equivalent on-the-job experience.

DURATION

The duration of the course is 3 months.

ASSESSMENT

There will be a final computer-based exam at the end of the course. The exam will be delivered by CompTIA and the qualification will be issued from CompTIA (Microsoft).

The learner will be prepared for the final exam by perfoming exam simulations in the computer lab, which will count as an assessment tool for the learner and lecturer.

COURSE FEES

The fees include all text-books, assignments, assessments, examination fees. The fee also includes practical sessions for full time students.
